EU regulator accuses Apple of breach of Digital Markets Act

The EU competition regulator European Commission completed its investigation of Apple and said the company’s App Store falls short of complying with the new rules.

Under the new rules that came into effect in November 2022, the iPhone maker faces a potential fine of up to 10% of its global revenue.

The tech giant is given the opportunity to review the investigation’s findings and will avoid the fine if it comes back with a proposal which is satisfactory to the EC.

We continue to monitor these developments and will return here with further updates.
